Make sure the printer is connected to the same wireless network as your computer or device.Make sure your router is turned on and the wireless network is operational.Wish I’d checked comments here before buying this printer.
I got the Dymo for labeling stuff in my workshop and it is taking me five times as long to print labels compared to the others. Then, instead of returning me to my label, it wants a click on a back button which is also all the way at the top, this time on the left side which is very difficult to press! Doesn’t anybody over there ever test this stuff? I’ve got three label printers from this company, the one in my office on my desk has worked flawlessly for ten years or more as does the handheld one which is even older. When I do, instead of just reconnecting, the App takes me to a new page where I have to say Again that I want to reconnect and then it makes me wait for a scan of available printers before I can reconnect. I can barely get the tip of my fingernail to click it. This would be bad enough but the reconnect button is at the very top of the screen almost completely covered by the Dynamic Island of my 14 Pro. This App is a true PITA to use: it will NOT stay connected for more than a few seconds so every label I try to print requires reconnecting my phone. The ratio of one star to five star reviews says all you need to know. I hope they do though because I do love having the wireless feature with their wireless printer. But given the history of the app it doesn't look like the developers really care to keep this mobile version updated since most users are using the software on PC. The app still has a lot of glitches that need fixing.
The developers need to fix this and update the app and adjust the placement of the buttons. Also, the home and print buttons on the iOS platform for an iPhone 14 Pro Max is so far at the top corners it thinks you are pressing the option to go to the previously used app so it keeps switching and it gets frustrating. My issue with using the app is having to tap the home, print, or menu buttons multiple times before it responds (and I don't have a screen cover or protector on the glass so it's a direct tap). Once you figure things out it's not that bad. Overall the app does work, but it takes some learning and getting used to. Looking at previous reviews I can see why most people are giving this 1 star.
